i *heart* macarons too! i had my first macaron today. although it wasn't from Paris, it was pretty good and more importantly i liked it a lot! i wish my first taste of an authentic macaron was from Pierre Herme or Laduree, but for now Trader Joe's will do. so, this book by Hisako Ogita is definitely on my wishlist. especially since it says you can whip them up at home by "using ordinary baking equipment and simple ingredients to create myriad flavors of perfection."
